How To Organize Christmas Decorations

Organizing your Christmas decorations can make the holiday season more enjoyable and less stressful which is why I have some great tips to doing this.

Before you start organizing, go through your decorations and discard any items that are damaged, worn out, or no longer needed. This will really pair down all the things you need to store and put away.

Sort your decorations into categories, such as ornaments, lights, tree toppers, wreaths, figurines, and wrapping supplies. This makes it easier to find what you need when decorating next year.

Label each storage container with its contents to make it easy to identify what’s inside. Consider using labels or a permanent marker to clearly mark the categories and items stored within.

Designate a specific storage area for your Christmas decorations, such as a garage, attic, or closet. Ensure this area is dry, cool, and safe from pests.

Use these steps to help you keep your Christmas decorations organized, protected, and easily accessible.

    1. I just wanted to thank you for going over some storing tips for Christmas decorations. I hadn’t considered that you could cover some wreaths with plastic bags, and this can help them keep their shape. My sister has been thinking of getting a storage unit, and it sounds like this could be a good idea to store some wreaths in there like this so that it stays in good condition all year round until it is next needed.
