This year I did not do a Easter inspiration styled shoot (as you may have noticed!). Instead I saved it up to inspire you for spring decorating your home. The holidays pass us by so quick and I am always so sad to tear all the decorations down. So this time I really wanted to show you how you can take what you have around your home and spruce it up with some color and for the holiday add in a few key elements.

This year my dear friend Aimee (you may remember from the recent post I did on the robot party we did for her son-HERE) hosted a Easter playdate at her home. I love that her backyard has some many different levels that you feel like you are in another place in each area. This one we decided to set up in the upper court yard next to this darling fish fountain that my daughter loves to throw rocks into (sorry Aimee!!). It was the perfect place because right next to it is a small grass area that the eggs were hidden in.

I thought it would be fun to use an old suitcase I picked up at the Rosebowl fleamarket many moons ago to house all the buckets for the kids. I thought it fun to use buckets over baskets because this way the kids can take these to the beach this year where baskets then get stored away until next year.

I then just added some cute tags for the kids and they were then off to their egg hunt!

I thought it best to create 3 areas to the display- grown up desserts, kid size table with desserts, and then the favors on the lowest level.

I love the new trend of lanterns and pomettes. It was every last minute so this year they were from Party City but I usually purchase them from Carmen of Pom Flair. And I love sprucing things up with flowers!

Of course lots of yummy treats!

A new local find is Cynthia of Poppy Bake Shop. She is the talent behind these yummy fruit tarts, cupcakes, and custom cookies to match my cupcake toppers. I was so excited to find out she did cookies like this as I have been searching for someone local after what happened for Lauren’s birthday last year. These turned out exactly how I wanted them!

And Amanda from Pretzels Pleaze is so fantastic! I adore her as a person and she makes the yummiest chocolate covered pretzels and a NEW creation these tasty chocolate covered oreos on sticks. I think Lauren had about 4 of these babies!!

I created this lollipop patch for the chick peeps that I put on sticks with the oreo pops. You may remember this moss covered box I did 2 years ago for our Sweet Hearts Party (HERE). This is the same box wrapped now in burlap and then I spread edible daises around for the garden.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the day!

    3. Hi, what a lovely day, can you tell me more about the cookies with the matching toppers, are these edible? Can these be purchased from a store? Thanks so much, Jessica
