I’m excited to share with you today a baby elephant baby shower I worked on last year. You may remember me sneaking peeks over on Instagram of me spray painting peanuts, drilling them and then stringing them onto ribbon. It was very tedious! But I think it made the ribbon and crepe paper backdrop truly unique and amazing!
Our ombres of pinks with pops of teal not only sweeten this theme but give it a modern color palette. Creating a show stopping backdrop is a key element for me when creating a dessert table. I love using elements that are unique to the theme like these hand painted peanuts.
I created this oversized art print and the mom-to-be spray painted a fleamarket purchased frame. It is easy to recreate and great to hang in the babies room afterwards. You can find the art print HERE.
We had a lot of yummy candy and desserts planned for the guests and created this layered gumball center piece for the middle of the dessert table.
Tasty cupcakes adorned with these custom fondant cupcake toppers by Edible Details just make it that more personalized!
These amazing cake pops also were custom made to match our theme. Sticking out of a jar with mini sixlettes, lets the guests grab one to take home.
A sweet little table was set for the guests to write notes to the baby and take a little bag of peanuts home in custom burlap bags.
Our tips for recreating this party:
-choose 2 colors and carry them through out your decor. ie: plates, napkins, tissue garlands, etc.
-make it easy for your guests to take some sweet treats home with them.
-choose an object (such as our peanuts) and use them in your decor and in favors for the guests
-personalize the party with mommy’s favorite things or sweet sentiments for the baby (such as well wishes cards, signing a picture frame for the baby with all the guests names.)
