When one of my favorite frame stores, Aaron Brothers asked me “What would you frame?”. I immediately thought of these precious items I have had carefully packed away for years. Each of these pieces were gathered by my husband and I on our honeymoon to Portugal and Spain oh like a decade ago. Ugh I just aged myself BUT I can not believe it was 10 years ago and what a perfect way to celebrate our marriage with this gorgeous piece of art of our things.
Recently we updated our master bedroom and I am still working myself around the room doing the rest of it. Our colors are very subtle and mostly neutral with small pops of aqua. I love that even 10 years ago that was a favorite color of mine when I purchased this silk scarf in Porto. It now perfectly ties together with the rest of our room.
I loved going into Aaron Brothers in McKinney and working with their design professionals. They are so brilliant at what they do and I literally went in there and said, “I can’t wait to see what you do with all this stuff because I have no idea what to do!” They are able to design with you (when you schedule a complimentary design appointment) your master piece and show you on a computer screen what it will look like when it is done. I mean it really makes it so much easier to visualize what you are putting together.
For me I knew I wanted really personal touches to this. I had brought in our travel guide book that we had taken notes in and highlighted. The ladies suggested we take some pages out I loved and use them in our collage. Am I ever happy we did that!! This map is marked with the spots we went up the river and highlights of our favorite places. I have not looked at this in years and now I can look at it every day!
This room has a lot of neutrals and I knew I wanted a frame that would tie in with all that. Did you know they have over 700 moulding choices and 400 mats? I was easily able to find a frame that had a antique look to it and made my collage pop. Speaking of popping, I love the touch of celedon green we used to border the art for the mat. Isn’t it just gorgeous? And it matches the pillows on our bed.

Your neutral frame looks great. My husband just finished his Masters degree and I need to get some good frames to display his new degree in his office and I need a matching frame for his undergrad one. I do know it’s not super exciting or for my home but it’s something special for his hard work. #whatwouldyouframe

I love this post! I was just thinking about how many sweet memories we have! We love to frame one big picture from each vacation as a memory- my fav is Napa, a church from Hawaii and our sunset from Cacun!

I would love to have some new family pictures framed. I haven’t had any new pictures of my family since my twins, who are now 6, were born. Now that we are in a new house I really want to make it personal and a reflection of our story with lots of framed photos!

I have a kimono that my Dad brought me from WW ll. have wanted to do something more permanent than putting in cabinet. We moved into a new for us house. I want to frame the kimono and hang in our bedroom. The colors are beautiful and so unique. It would be preserved that way for my daughter. Cd
