Hi there! Michelle here with I DO invitations by michelle and I first wanted to say how honored I am to be a contributor here at ABN! Today I’m excited to share with you Halloween Costume Party ideas for kids featuring ideas from this sweet party I threw for my daughter and her friends.
I decided against doing a focal point dessert table this time around. I still had many festive treats but decorated in a more low-key style. I love me a pretty dessert table but honestly sometimes simplicity is key, especially when you have a large crowd and not a lot of space. (There were 20 kiddos plus parents.) Instead, I used banners and balloons to fancy the place up along with my regular fall decor I already had displayed. To jazz up the juice boxes, I wrapped them in crepe paper and added little googly eyes for mummies and pumpkin face clings found at Target for little pumpkins! A bit time consuming but the kids loved them! 🙂 My friend Ann makes the cutest decorated cookies and always so delicious! I mixed pumpkin pretzels and goldfish in festive cups I also found at Target along with cupcakes, cake pops and poison puppy chow to round out the sweets! My mother-in-law made the most delicious Caramel Apple Nachos, but of course forgot to get a picture. You can find the recipe here.
I hired a face painter (always a big hit with the kids!) and played a few games including pumpkin bozo buckets, pinata, and I decorated little cannon ball pumpkins with the kids’ names for a little scavenger hunt.
Gosh, I wish I got a group shot of everyone but half will do. 🙂 I hope you enjoyed this simple but festive kids Halloween party! The kids had a blast and we had the most perfect weather!
