Master Bedroom Decorating – The Details
Our Favorites:
Last week I shared how we popped color in our new master bedroom and today I wanted to share more details of our new room. As I mentioned before, I wanted to keep most everything neutral and pop my favorite color in a lighter shade.
I choose these aqua blue pillows that had a beautiful trellis pattern on them. I love the play on pattern with our comforter set.
I found these amazing nightstands at Homegoods and I loved the mirror doors with again a trellis pattern on them. I had been looking forever for just the right pieces here and snatched them up quick when I saw them! I am thinking eventually to replace the knobs with something in a metal finish.
I kept the accessories on my husband’s side very simple – some books he is currently reading and a boxwood.
My side has my jewelry dish and my favorite picture of Lauren and I. Please excuse the cord for my lamp. Not sure what to do to hide that yet . . . maybe a plant??
And I am so in love with these signs for either side of our bed. I mean seriously. Everyone should be told this every morning!
You may remember this bench back in the (not so long ago!) day from the entry. Though I loved that patterned fabric on it, I needed something that went better now that it lives at the end of our bed.
This fabric was such a find and it is currently 50% off. Nate Berkus I love you!! Best ever find! And this little basket sitting next to the bench does not have anything in it but I am thinking of a plant of some sort . . .
I added this sweet little tray from our lucite collection (that will be coming back to the shop soon!) to hold my watch and necklaces when I am too lazy to put them away in the closet. Generally I then grab them before I go to bed for my last “pick up” sweep of the day. I love that it repeats the color from the pillows and brings your eye to the end of the bed.
So there you have it! Our neutral bedroom makeover. The other side of the room is now getting worked on and I can’t wait to show you when it is done!
