I don’t know about you but we are ready for some summer weather and backyard bbqs. It has been a little bit of a rainy start here in Texas so far. But the 4th of July is right around the corner and the new Martha Stewart Collection at Macys has me ready for a patriotic red, white and blue get together in the backyard.
Of course blue and white is my favorite and used that as my main theme for the table, chairs and flowers.
These bold and playful plates add just the right pop to my white dinnerware and layered with these ice cream bowls.
Be still my stripe lovin’ heart! I adore these acrylic tumblers and goblets and served my orange lemonade punch in them. Adorned with chevron straws and your drinks are perfection in every way!
The key for me when using a set of dishes that have so much color is to make them feel grounded. I loved this blue and white fretwork fabric as a runner and then layered our sisal placemats on top with white linen napkins. It gives you lots of texture but also lets your fun plates and bowls pop.
Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers. They are so simple and you don’t need many of them to fill a vase. Gathered and placed in this simple blue pitcher gives a little height to the table.
So are you ready to set plans for the 4th? Snag these fun serving pieces from Martha Stewart to make your backyard bbq a hit with a little touch of your home outside! Check out the full collection HERE and shop all our items in this post below.
