Coastal Table Decor Ideas

So, ready to get this coastal look? Here are my tips on creating the perfect coastal tablescape.

How to Create A Coastal Tablescape:

1. Select a Coastal Color Scheme

Think the ocean and you can’t go wrong! All shades of blue are perfect for this themed table. I love these gorgeous lanterns in this rich navy color from Pier 1 Imports. They were the perfect jumping-off point for this table. From there, I select turquoise accents to make the table pop.

2. Add Lots of White Accents

White will really make your blues stand out, especially if you are working with a table that is not white. I used these amazing beaded chargers, white gold embroidered napkins and white salad plates with gold edges.

3. Have Fresh Flowers

Always have fresh flowers for your table. Select a neutral vase so it will go with any table style you put together and is universal. We selected all white flowers and popped in some pieces that matched the turquoise accents of the table for a unified look.

4. Scent The Air

Yep you heard me right. Set the mood with scented candles for a truly coastal feel. I adore these candles that smell like the ocean. It totally reminds me of my home in California.

5. Create Layers

I think this is so key in a table setting. Creating layers with mix and matched plates, glasses and linens make your table look so effortless.

I used these turquoise wine glasses and tumblers to pop the flowers and napkins in the same shade.

Select a plate with a pattern and layer it with a mismatched salad plate. I used this gorgeous gold one to match this gold flatware.

I always love finding very unique ways to tie up our napkins. These gold-rimmed agate coasters are jaw-dropping friends. Talk about a must-have for your table decor stash!
