HOW TO HOST A FAVORITE THINGS PARTY:

You will want to set a spending limit. I change mine depending on how many guest are coming. I styled this favorite things party for four guest. I wanted more of an intimate sit down dinner. You could say everyone’s gifts should be $15-$20 each. If you will have 4 guest including yourself, then each guest brings 4 of the same gift. They should bring something that represents one of their favorite things. For me it is usually notebooks and coffee related items! You can choose if you want the gifts to be wrapped or unwrapped.

PARTY DECOR

I decided to use natural greenery elements, black and white buffalo check, and pops of red. I created mini meat and cheese boards for appetizers, and made a delicious Cranberry Sangria for the drink! I had two dessert boards with cupcakes placed in mini mule mugs, peppermint bark, and a DELICIOUS cranberry cream cheese dip. Use gingersnaps for the cranberry cream cheese dip!! It rocks!!

When the guest arrive you can use this opportunity to hand out your family Christmas Cards! We ordered ours from Shutterfly, and they were absolutely perfect! It helps you save a few stamps. You can also tell your guest they can all bring their cards for a card exchange.

I used fabulous disposable plates from Sophistiplate for the place settings. I am all about paper everything! The less to clean after hosting a get together the better. They are elegant, and don’t look like paper.
