Wow I just can’t believe Christmas is over! Can you?? And now New Year’s Eve is just around the corner. So it is about time to start transitioning your Christmas decor into a festive New Year’s eve look. This year I went with traditional colors and theme and I have teamed up with Pier 1 Imports to share my ideas to get timeless and classic decor that you can use every year.
New Year’s Eve Essentials + Tips For The Best NYE Bar Cart:
Tip 1: Use a chalkboard for a festive sign.
I have had this chalkboard hanging in our kitchen area for over a year now and I love that I can simply change the text to fit in with the current season or holiday. I chose the ever popular “POP, FIZZ, CLINK” typography in different fonts for a fun look. I then just added a tissue paper garland draped above to tie it all together.

Tip 2: Have a bar cart for a convenient moveable drink station.
I love bar carts. They are small and easy to move around depending on where you need them. They have multiple shelves for extra display space. There are so many options with sizes and finishes and these are my favorites to choose from right HERE. It was hard for me to choose but ultimately I loved this round one. Once New Year’s Eve is over it will be used as a cute side table.
Tip 3: Pick a signature drink to serve and stock the cart with it’s ingredients.
Of course our main drink we will be serving is my favorite champagne and I love to have some sugared cranberries on hand too. Have all the ingredients for your signature drink on your cart and display the coordinating condiments in bowls, little serving platters, etc. to make it easy for your guests to walk up to your bar cart and make their drink.
I love this gold ice bucket to keep my bottle perfectly chilled. It is just gorgeous in the gold!
Tip 4: Use decorative items to tie in your theme.
Since we are talking about New Year’s Eve, I think you should have fun decor items on your cart to display. I just love this CHEERS bottle stopper and until it needs to be put in the bottle, I have it floating in my ice bucket for some cute decor.
These darling stir sticks were too cute to pass up! I love that each one is different so when you guests set their glasses down they will be able to tell them apart.

Tip 5: Have additional beverages available to serve.
Not everyone is going to want champagne so plan for that with a few other beverages. I added another option to this darling pineapple decanter.
Tip 6: Have barware available for guests to make their favorite drinks.
Of course if you are going to offer other beverages for guests to make, then you will need to have the appropriate barware available. I love this gold shaker and it matches the gorgeous ice bucket for our champagne.
And just look at this gorgeous ice scooper!! Every bar cart needs a little bling and this is too cute.
Of course there will be spills so hang a cute bar towel on the side for easy access. Hopefully no one will need to use it though because isn’t this one to die for?!
Tip 7: Have fun poppers for guests in bowls to easily get to.
It’s New Year’s so you HAVE to have party crackers and confetti poppers.
I just love these gold ones with the jewels. I mean seriously I am not even sure I want to open mine it is too beautiful!! But Pier 1 Imports has many to choose from so you can get it to match your decor perfectly.
So what are your plans for New Years Eve? Are you having a big party or something more small and intimate? You just have to pop in to Pier 1 Imports for your NYE essentials. They have some amazing things this year!
