I feel like we were just talking about spring and now we are moving on into the summer season. This is my daughter’s last week of school before summer break so I have been already starting to transition the decor in my home to a more fresh look for the season. I like to make these seasonal changes as affordably as possible which is one of the reasons I love to shop at Walmart for home decor.
Walmart has great on-trend pieces for the summer season and makes it so easy to order online and either have shipped to the store or your house. I also love the designer-inspired collections they have been releasing and I wanted to share a few favorite trend pieces for summer that I’ve been eyeing.
I am also loving the new Walmart + program. Have you tried it yet? There is a mobile scan & go feature where you can shop in-store, scan items, and it will total it so when you get to the register you just have to pay and go. SO great for the mom on the go.
Okay, so on to my favorite summer trends I’ve been shopping for lately!
Citrus Infused Summer Home Decor Accents:
I have always been a citrus decor fan and love to decorate with lemons and oranges especially in the kitchen. So I loved when I saw this color scheme carried through to decor for a living space. Especially with so many homes having open concept rooms, this makes your decor flow through the rooms better. I have had my eye on this rug and was considering it in another colorway but absolutely love the rich tone of the gold in this one.
This white and yellow pillow and rich turquoise pillow are such an easy and affordable way to add a pop of citrus color to your room.

I also snagged this hydrangea tumbler and love how tall it is because it will make me drink more water! I love to have a tumbler full of lemon ice water with me, especially in the summer months to make sure I stay hydrated, and love the pattern on this one.

Summer Travel Essentials:
Have you started to think about doing some traveling? We are looking at going someplace relatively local to Texas but that still means I need to update my travel pieces. I am particularly obsessed with this portable sanitizing travel case. You can throw your mask, cellphone, etc into it for 10 minutes and it sanitizes it.
I also love the LV look-a-like duffle bag. I mean my things get pretty beat up when I travel and I love this affordable option with the designer look.
