Coastal Table Decor For Summer

As we transition from spring to summer, I am finding myself dodging those spring showers and heading out to the backyard to spend more time. This means I am entertaining more outdoors and setting the table for small gatherings with our friends, which warms my heart after the last year.

So I shopped the sale already and wanted to share my must-have items and how I put them together to create this modern coastal table setting that is easy to recreate. I know you are going to love this!

Unique coastal decor for the table:

I love to start with a unique color scheme for my coastal table settings. I found these colorful fan burst napkins in this teal green color and thought how dynamic they would be paired with these black woven placemats. I also loved their more modern pattern that reminded me of some designer fabric. Picking a more modern pattern will definitely elevate your design.

I layered them with these classic coastal melamine plates. I like to use melamine outside because they are easy to clean and such a tough material compared to ceramic which I leave for the indoors.

Hobby Lobby has so many fun napkin rings but I was a total sucker for these knot ones that have that beachy feel to them. I simply shook out the folded napkin, bunched it together, and slide on the napkin ring. Then just fan out the bottom so you can see the color and pattern more. So simple and the kids can do it for you!

I love to pull a piece that is neutral and has texture in it no matter if I am decorating a room or a tabletop. I love these wicker-wrapped glasses because they accomplish just that. They actually come in 2 different sizes and there is a coordinating pitcher as well.

Beachy table centerpieces:

I love a simple and low centerpiece for a tablescape. It draws your eye to the table setting and should complement it. Also when your centerpiece decor is low it invites conversation when everyone is seated.

I decorated the center of the table with a coordinating pattern and color runner to what I have in the napkins to carry through the color scheme. Then added a simple white vase with grocery store flowers and these turquoise coral sculptures. I love these coral pieces because once I am done using them for my table then I can use them on the coffee table stacked on some design books or for some shelf styling.

I also found these jute-wrapped mason jars and just dropped some battery-operated candles in them to help illuminate the table once the sun goes down.
