So without further ado . . . welcome to my home!

For this year’s home tour I used a poppy orange as my main accent with lots of silver accents. My porch got a punch of turquoise with this accent rug layered with my porch mat. I recently layered my rugs in my living room and thought this could be a great way to add some color to my porch. I also beefed up a old berry wreath I had laying around in the garage with a boxwood garland and some burlap. I love the more chunky look.
My favorite outdoor plant to decorate with are mums. I usually buy only white but thought the yellow was a fun pop this year with the turquoise mat.

I kept my entry pretty simple this year. I have been in the mood of “less is more” lately and have been majorly purging my home.
A little while back I had created this wallpaper insert for our niche for a fun focal point in this long entry. You can see the tutorial HERE. I currently have this white desk in here (it may be leaving us soon! I added a little sisal table and my potted succulent from outside for texture.

Mini white pumpkins and a little orange vase are pretty much all this spot is getting this year.
As you can see our main color pallette in this living room is shades of blue and neutrals; creams, whites and grey. I thought this poppy orange would be a dramatic change from our summer look and really pop in this room.

Poppy is just one of those colors I think that makes such a statement in a room. I could not live with it year round but think it is a perfect accent color to define a season.
We recently got these 2 grey chairs and I love that we have a more “conversation” area for guests. Before it just felt disconnected. I fluffed them up with pillows from one of my favorite stores and a furry throw blanket.
I swear this table has moved all over the house. It used to be HERE. But I have had it here for about 6 months and love that it defines this little space from the garage. I love walking by and having our family photos right here. I use these baskets for extra pillow and blanket storage and as soon as I find my other winter blankets, they will be stored here.

My little breakfast roo will be getting a mini makeover very soon but for now it is all decorated for fall. Since this space opens into our living room, the poppy color found it’s way in here too.
I added some mini white pumpkin salt and pepper shakers and some poppy colored placemats.
