Today we have this gorgeous neutral & serene master bedroom to break down the design details and show you how to get this look in your own home. Neutral palettes are super popular these days and we have even shared our favorite neutral paint colors. I think everyone likes to have a room to come home to that is soft and subtle after a long day at work. Right?! My bedroom does that for me and I have used soft colors in there for us. This silver grey blue in the photo below is so beautiful and I think this is a perfect look for a bedroom.

The Design Details:
-
a neutral palette
Pick a soft subtle shade like some of these we posted about. The one above is very close to the ever popular Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore. Pick a shade that evokes a feeling of serenity and calm when you walk in the room.
-
a tall upholstered headboard
The bed is the focal point of a bedroom. Pick a headboard that is tall, is unique and even is in your neutral shade. We have some great headboards HERE that we posted for under $300.
-
a glam chandelier
If there is any where in the home to hang a gorgeous chandelier then it is in the bedroom. Chandeliers are not meant for just the dining room any more and they add a touch of glam to the bedroom.
-
accent pieces that are functional
Select accent furniture that you can actually use. Place a bench at the end of the bed so you can sit and take your shoes off at the end of the day. Place a small cocktail side table next to a chair for a quite place to read in your room. Really think about how you can utilize your space and pick furniture accordingly.
-
pop the neutral color in accessories
Your neutral color is not just for your walls! Pop the color in your headboard, in your drapes, in a vase, etc. This will give the room depth and not feel boring.

Can you tell me the source of the bed in the inspiration photo? Thanks you.
I went to Wayfare because I’d like to get your exact tufted headboard. I cannot quite tell from my computer screen what color yours is. My only options on Wayfare are gray and cream but the gray looks much darker than the gray in your picture.
We spec’d the beige color for our inspiration board.
Beautiful, and definitely serene. I’m normally fond of having some color in my rooms, but I really like neutrals in the bedroom because it gives it a more relaxed feel. Well, for me it does anyway.
