Sharing the BEST coastal chandeliers that could work for many different design styles as well as a modern coastal decor home.

Coastal home decor has come a long way and is not all shells and anchor decor pieces. It has a more subtle and sophisticated feel to it.

I love the direction that coastal decorating has gone in and it really has begun to overlap with other design styles like farmhouse decor and transitional home decor style.

I designed a lot of our last house with this design aesthetic and it was such a soothing look.

Even a new home decor style has recently emerged called Coastal Grandmother. It is a take on Nancy Meyers movies like Somethings Gotta Give with a more traditional design style.

What Is Coastal Chandelier Style

When selecting lighting in the coastal design style there are a few key elements to look for to make it a bit easier to find the perfect piece.

Some of my beach chandelier style trends are rattan, wood beads, and capiz shells. They all add a beautiful texture to the light fixture.

Woven rattan elements are a main feature of beach-inspired lighting pieces. They give a lot of texture to a room and even add a little pattern play to the space.

Capiz shells are subtle and have a bit of a shimmer to them like you would find from real shells from the ocean. They catch the light beautifully and really have that beachy feel to them.

Wood beaded chandeliers can work with so many different design styles but for a coastal look, I love pieces that are more reminiscent of a driftwood look. Soft gray and light wood tones are subtle and go perfectly with a coastal-style home.

Beach Chandelier Ideas

To get your creative juices going, here are a few examples of how and where to place a coastal chandelier. As mentioned before, entryways, dining rooms, and master bedrooms are great places to put them.

But let me show you a few places in my own home that I have them in.

I used a capiz tiered chandelier in my daughter’s room makeover and it was such a beautiful addition. It added a little shimmer and was not too sophisticated for her.

Our entryway got a beautiful wood bead chandelier in the entryway. It really is a showstopper and the light gray color of the beads added a subtle texture to the space.

Our guest bedroom got a beautiful tiered wood bead chandelier which I paired with this gorgeous blue and white bedding for a timeless look.

I kept the decor simple and in these subtle water blue colors which really pulled the coastal look together.
