Simple Tips to Create a Wine Inspired Design

The BLANCO EMPRESSA Collection is inspired by the company’s German heritage and their gorgeous German vineyards. Heritage is so important in their designs and this new collection marries it well with a pastime the country is known for. I truly love that function follows form as BLANCO has done with this new collection of faucets. I love the traditional elements but it still has a more contemporary edge to them to make it feel fresh and timeless.

So I thought I would share the 4 designs from this collection and then show you how I designed a space from one of these gorgeous pieces. I think any piece in the kitchen can inspire a whole design and a faucet is the perfect place to start.

EMPRESSA Bridge Faucet

The EMPRESSA Bridge Faucet features a traditional silhouette with a pull-down spray. I love this faucet for a farmhouse style kitchen design and it adds a bit more of an industrial touch to it. I love this style and it taking a less rustic approach with the finish selections in the hardware and appliances.

EMPRESSA Kitchen Faucet with Pull-Down

I just love the EMPRESSA Faucet with Pull-Down! It has modern clean lines but has features of a more traditional style. I would use this in a coastal or French country style kitchen. There is a selection of four finishes that can drastically change the tone of the room; polished chrome, polished nickel, stainless finish and oil rubbed bronze. The oil-rubbed bronze finish would be for a more old-world look and the polished chrome would make it more modern. It has a pull-down spray for ease of use and a gorgeous handle to finish off its look.

EMPRESSA Semi-Professional Faucet

The EMPRESSA Semi-Professional Faucet is the perfect faucet for a more modern industrial style kitchen. I love the innovative design and it is perfect for a busy chef. It still has the nozzle of the more traditional ones above but the neck makes this piece set apart. I see this in a kitchen with an open floor plan and lots of entertaining.

EMPRESSA Bar Faucet

If you have a bar area then you need the coordinating EMPRESSA Bar Faucet for your kitchen. It comes in the four finishes as stated above and it will match your main kitchen faucet and carry your design through the space seamlessly.

So like I said before, I like to take one design element and build from it. Most people select a fabric or rug to start off but you can do the same thing and be inspired but a more functional piece in a room design like a faucet for a kitchen. I definitely feel the EMPRESSA Collection has a vintage look with a modern twist which is where the farmhouse style is going right now. Gone are the days of a rustic farmhouse look and it is being replaced with a modern industrial look. I chose a black and white tile for the floor for a pop of pattern and a traditional Carrara marble subway tile for the backsplash. For a modern twist, I thought a gorgeous grey like Repose Grey from Sherwin Williams would give depth to the overall design.
